8th Grade trip to Yosemite

Each year the 8th grade students spend 5 days camping in Yosemite National Park. Sacred Heart Nativity School for Boys attends first, followed by Our Lady of Grace’s 8th graders. Students participate in a rigorous hiking program culminating in reaching the top of Half Dome. This program teaches the student outdoor skills and the importance of working together as a class and as a school to develop trust and teamwork.

Santa Clara University Alumni For Others

Santa Clara Alumni sponsor two major events each year:

1. Student dinner at Santa Clara University followed by an NCAA basketball game, preceded by tutoring.
2. Day trip to a local venue of interest.

Santa Clara Alumni have organized and taken our students on trips to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Roaring Camp Railroad, and the Exploratorium.
